Videos are powerful ways of connecting with students at home, yet also useful for students who are in school. Because students can watch them whenever they want, as often as they want, they are an equity solution. Offering a live lesson at a particular time provides "equal" access for all.
However, if you're a student who is sharing a device at home or taking care of younger siblings, you may not always be able to offer your full attention when the teacher is offering critical instruction. Some students may have a difficult time processing information quickly during a lesson; and sometimes distractions at home prevent students from capturing all of the learning. Some of these challenges are present in the brick and mortar classroom as well.
Giving every student what they need to succeed through recorded videos and optional small-group live lessons, well, that's equitable access to learning!

Think about the teachers you support and lead. If you were going to suggest one type of video as a next step, what type would it be and why? What connections do you make to domains 1, 2, and 3?
Teachers need time and grace to record more videos, but these resources can help.
