Different students have different needs. Giving them choices of different ways to master the same concepts or skills, puts them in charge of their own learning!

Following are sample Differentiated Digital Activity Lists (DDALs). We do not intend for these to be distributed as is to students; we designed these to give you a concept of what to look for when working with your teachers on creating them.

In each, you will see five types of videos and five types of learning activities. Time to explore!

2. As you explore the sample(s), consider the following:

• As teachers take a more facilitative approach to teaching in a digital learning environment, they have to create (or find) activities from which the students will learn. Identify the five types of activities within each sample and reflect on how these activities might increase student independence and executive function skills.

• What challenges might a teacher have in creating the five types of activities? How might they adjust the activities to suit special education, ELL students or gifted and talented?

• Locate the videos within the sample. Of the five types of videos, which are highlighted? What purpose do they serve?

3. Think back to the three teachers you're focusing on today. What supports might you put in place to ensure their activities are self-directed, but are also academically rigorous? What other ideas have you gathered that could support their creation and implementation? What questions could the teacher(s) ask as they facilitate while students are learning?
